I don't use a ton of effects so it suits me. I mostly use it in pedal mode and in front of a clean amp. Though this problem can be solved if you have an external MIDI controller. Also, in preset mode, effect blocks: reverb, compression and drive cannot be controlled individually because those switches are reserved for loading presets. It's just that in preset mode, you can load patches instantly, whereas in pedal mode u need to press and hold the foot switch to load a patch. In both modes you can load patches AND control individual effect blocks. The unit has two different operational modes: preset and pedal. ![]() if I want flanger and chorus on at the same time then it's not possible because they both belong to Modulation. If you use it in the loop, then the drive section is disabled.Ī downside to this unit is, it's not possible to have more than one effect on at the same time, if they belong to the same effect block. Meridian Presets have been tested on multiple systems. And imo sounds pretty good when paired with a nice amp. DO THE MERIDIAN PRESETS WORK WITH CAMERA PLATFORMS LIKE CANON, FUJI, LEICA, NIKON, PENTAX, SONY ETC. If you use it in front of the amp, the drive section is available and you have access to its OD/Dist effects. There are 7 individual effect blocks: mod, delay, pitch, boost, comp, reverb and drive, plus an extra foot switch for tuner/tap temp. I'm lazy and like it mainly for its convenience. It's basically a cut down version of the TC G-system which Steve Vai uses. ![]() I own and use this unit, and have gigged with it many times.
